Welcome to the website of Agender Christchurch Incorporated.
We are the South Island branch of Agender NZ. Agender Christchurch is dedicated to supporting Transgender people from across the gender spectrum.  Transgender is used widely as the umbrella term encompassing FtM, MtF, Intersex, Transsexual, Cross-dresser, Whakawahine, Fa'afafine, Transvestite, Transgenderist, Androgyne. You can see why we need an umbrella term.

Agender Christchurch provides support throughout the South Island. Regional groups are being established in Nelson, Dunedin and Central Otago. The office at the Christchurch Community House provides a safe, accessible, central city drop in centre offering support, education, advocacy and research for the transgender community. There is a resource library of books, pamphlets and videos available for borrowing or browsing. Rainbow House provides supportive, friendly accommodation for transgender people. A support group open to all trans people, significant others and supporters meets at the Christchurch Community House 7.30 pm on the fourth Friday of the month from February to November. All are welcome.

Support Groups
The Christchurch group meets at the Christchurch Community House 141 Hereford Street 7.30pm on the fourth Friday of the month. No meeting in December.
