The AgenderTrust was formed as
a charitable trust on 7 April 2005 to provide long term financial
independence for Agender New Zealand Incorporated, a non-profit
incorporated society supporting transgender people in New Zealand and
Australia.
Listed below are some of the offerings
of the Trust. Some of these are restricted to members of Agender New
Zealand
Purpose of the Trust The
purpose for which the Trust Fund is established is to support the work
of the Agender New Zealand (Inc), to the extent that this is a
charitable purpose under the laws from time to time applying in New
Zealand by:
Helping transgender people and
their partners come to terms with being transgender in a positive way.
Promote the emotional and social
well being of members and transgender people in general.
To provide means whereby members
and partners may meet for mutual support, assistance and exchange of
information within a safe and non-threatening environment.
To promote knowledge and
understanding of the nature of transgenderism in the general community.
Undertaking any other activities
that are incidental to or conducive to the achievement of the above
objects and purposes.
The above Purpose of the Trust is
to be carried out exclusively within New Zealand.
Applications for Funding The
Trust does not have funds available at this time. However at a future
date funds will be distributed to Agender NZ Inc or an individual/group
affiliated to Agender NZ Inc within New Zealand. (New Zealand law does
not allow for off shore funding.)
When funding is available details will
be provided to the Agender New Zealand National Committee, the Regional
Coordinators and advertised in the Agender Perspective.
